Events

Every year, over 100 shows are run at our centre from affiliated British Dressage and British Show jumping to grass roots unaffiliated dressage and show jumping. We offer UK Riders and Cricklands  qualifiers, summer Championships and a winter points series.  The facilities, accessibility, location, setting and professional helpful staff make for a fantastic venue. The Hayrack café which is open for all events offers a wide menu.

What’s more, we have great attractions on site to enhance your visit; including an Animal Zone (with over 1000 animals) and a coffee shop

Class 1a – 09:00 – Arena 1 – Senior British Novice Championship – First Round

Rule 316. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members

a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 316.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2016 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final – in accordance with Rule 316.6.

Qualifies for: Senior British Novice Championship – Second Round.

Qualifying period yearly 1st May – 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in the British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Prizes: 1st: £40.00, 2nd: £25.00, 3rd: £20.00, 4th: £19.00, 5th: £17.00, Total: £121.00

Class 2 – Arena 1 – HAYGAIN hay steamers Diamond Championship Qualifier

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 95cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2019, or any horse/rider combination listed on the British Showjumping Silver League as of 31st March 2019.

The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round, or clear in both phases if held Single Phase.

Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

Prizes: 1st: £50.00, 2nd: £30.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £20.00, 6th: £20.00, Total: £165.00

Class 3a – Arena 1 – Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery – First Round

Rule 314. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2015 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Senior Discovery Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

First place rosette kindly sponsored by Connolly’s RED MILLS In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify – in accordance with rule 312.6

(b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2013, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final – in accordance with Rule 312.6.

Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.

Qualifying period 1st June – 31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round.

If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Prizes: 1st: £45.00, 2nd: £35.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £22.00, 5th: £18.00, Total: £145.00

Class 5b – Arena 1 – Senior 1.10m Open

Rule 312. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

For registered horses in Grades: A, B & C. Ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who will be aged 12 years or over in the current calendar year. Class 6 – Arena 1 – National 1.15m Members Cup Qualifier

Rule 294. Single Phase. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.15m.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who are not listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2019.

Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships.

Qualification period: 1st June-31st May.

Numbers to qualify: Two double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.

If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Prizes: 1st: £50.00, 2nd: £35.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £20.00, Total: £150.00

Class 7 – Arena 1 – Equitop GLME Senior Foxhunter First Round/1.20m Open

Rule 310. Single Phase. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.20m.

First place rosette kindly sponsored by Equitop GLME In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule – 76.6

• Foxhunter:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify – in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2013, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final – in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2019 are not eligible for qualification to the 2020 Championship.

If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

• 1.20m Open:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Prizes: 1st: £60.00, 2nd: £45.00, 3rd: £35.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £20.00, Total: £180.00
