Class 1a – Arena 1 – Dodson & Horrell 85cms National Amateur Championship Qualifier – First Round

Rule 318. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 85cm.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule – 76.6

For registered horses to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2017 (assigned for the qualifying period) and any horse/rider combination listed on the British Showjumping Silver League as of 31st March 2017 (assigned for the qualifying Period).

Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).

Qualifies for: 85cms National Amateur Second Rounds.

Qualifying period: 1st September-31st August inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horse/rider combinations which jump clear in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least five 85cm National Amateur First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the respective height classes at the National Amateur Championships. Horses which jump clear in the first round followed by a clear round in the jump off, in at least one 85cm National Amateur First Round Competition held in the qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the National Amateur 85cm Second Round competition. The winner of a particular 85cm National Amateur First Round Competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Class 2 – Arena 1 – KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice – First Round/90cm Open

First place rosette kindly sponsored by KBIS Insurance Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule – 76.6

British Novice:

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 316.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final – in accordance with Rule 316.6

Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship – Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May – 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

90cm Open:

For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

Rule 314. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section.

Discovery:

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2013 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Class 2 – 09:00 – Arena 1 – HorseQuest UK Novice Championship Qualifier

For registered horses in grade C which have not won a total of 125 points, (unless Age Rule applies), to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round. There will be dual qualification of double clears for the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice first round (Age rule applies).

Please note that in accordance with the amendment to BS Rule 316 all 4yr old horses are now eligible regardless of points won, but the horse must be 4yrs old in the year of the Final ie 2018 to be able to compete in the Championship. Therefore any horses which are currently 4yrs old and have won more than 125 points are unable to qualify in any qualifiers held from 1st October 2017 to 31st December 2017. Qualification does not pass down the line.

Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

(b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2012, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final – in accordance with Rule 312.6.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June – 31st May inclusive.

1.10m Open:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who are not listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2017.

Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships.

Qualification period: 1st June-31st May.

Numbers to qualify: Four double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.

Class 7 – Arena 1 – Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter First Round/1.20m Open

Rule 310. Table A7. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.20m.

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify – in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2011, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final – in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
