Events

Every year, over 100 shows are run at our centre from affiliated British Dressage and British Show jumping to grass roots unaffiliated dressage and show jumping. We offer UK Riders and Cricklands  qualifiers, summer Championships and a winter points series.  The facilities, accessibility, location, setting and professional helpful staff make for a fantastic venue. The Hayrack café which is open for all events offers a wide menu.

What’s more, we have great attractions on site to enhance your visit; including an Animal Zone (with over 1000 animals) and a coffee shop

Class 1 – 09:00 – Arena 1 – KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice – First Round/90cm Open

Rule 316. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

First place rosette kindly sponsored by KBIS Insurance Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule – 76.6

British Novice:

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 316.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2013 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final – in accordance with Rule 316.6

Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship – Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May – 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

90cm Open:

For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

Class 2 – Arena 1 – Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery First Round/1m Open

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule – 76.6

Discovery:

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2012 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final – in accordance with Rule 314.6.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). (b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2011, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final – in accordance with Rule 312.6.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June – 31st May inclusive.

1.10m Open:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Prizes: 1st: £45.00, 2nd: £35.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £22.00, 5th: £18.00, Total: £145.00

Class 5 – Arena 1 – National 1.15m Members Cup Qualifier

Rule 294. Single Phase. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.15m.

Open to registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who are not listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2017.

Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships.

Qualification period: 1st June-31st May.

Numbers to qualify: Four double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.

Prizes: 1st: £50.00, 2nd: £35.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £20.00, Total: £150.00

Class 6 – Arena 1 – Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter First Round/1.20m Open

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify – in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2010, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final – in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Class 4 – The Holly & The Ivy pairs. Fences approx. 90 – 95 cms Riders to pair up and jump a set course each, baton must be handed over before second rider starts.

Class 5 – Father Christmas Stakes Fences Approx    50 – 60 cms (Entries in this class cannot enter classes 7 or 8)

 

Class 6 – Christmas Cracker Accumulator Fences approx. 70 – 75 Each fence will be worth points,  An optional Joker fence will offer a chance to get extra points. The rider and horse with the highest points in the fastest time will win.

 

Class 7 – Roasted Chestnuts Speed Stakes – Fences approx. 80 – 85 cms. One round against time

 

Class 8 – The Holly & The Ivy pairs. Fences approx. 90 – 95 cms Riders to pair up and jump a set course each, baton must be handed over before second rider starts.

 

Entry Fee for all classes £8.          Rosettes to 6th place

A charge of £2 per rider per day will be made towards the cost of First Aid cover

For registered horses to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2017 (assigned for the qualifying period) and any horse/rider combination listed on the British Showjumping Silver League as of 31st March 2017 (assigned for the qualifying Period).

Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).

Qualifies for: 85cms National Amateur Second Rounds.

Qualifying period: 1st September-31st August inclusive.

Class 6a – Arena 1 – Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Championship Qualifier – First Round

Rule 324. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section.

For registered horses to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2017 (assigned for the qualifying Period). Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible (excluding Veterans and Para Teams).

Qualifies for: 1.10m National Amateur Second Rounds.

Qualifying period: 1st September-31st August inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horse/rider combinations which jump clear in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least five 1.10m National Amateur First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the respective height classes at the National Amateur Championships. Horses which jump clear in the first, round followed by a clear round in the jump off, in at least one 1.10m National Amateur First Round Competition held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the National Amateur 1.10m Second Round competition.

The winner of a particular 1.10m National Amateur First Round Competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Class 6b – Arena 1 – Senior 1.10m Open

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

For registered horses in Grades: A, B & C. Ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who will be aged 12 years or over in the current calendar year. Horses / ponies may only compete in one section.

Prizes: 1st: £40.00, 2nd: £30.00, 3rd: £25.00, 4th: £20.00, 5th: £18.00, Total: £133.00
